Meet the mmob: Anastasija Leppenen
mmob’s Marketing Assistant Anastasija tells us about her love for cats and why it is important to always have a vision.
How did you come to join the mmob?
I graduated from Coventry University last year with a first-class degree in Marketing and spent a semester in Spain as an exchange student. I had great opportunities working in Business Operations, Media and an AI technology company before joining mmob as a Marketing Assistant in May 2021.
What is your favourite thing about working at mmob?
mmob has a great vision for the fintech industry – the company is continuously developing innovative financial technologies and expanding its business portfolio and clients. This encourages everyone at mmob to be creative and passionate about what we do. Everyone at mmob is also like family to me and we have a very friendly culture.
What does your job role entail?
My role expands around the Marketing and Technical elements of mmob’s business. My day to day work includes tracking and analysing marketing channels such as social media and working on Quality Assurance tasks to ensure mmob’s technical and marketing platforms are running smoothly. Depending on our team’s demand, I also have the opportunity to get involved in business development and partnerships.
What are you working towards at the moment?
At the moment I am working on Quality Assurance for our platform as well as running some social media platforms.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I’m a huge cat lover, so I read a lot of books and social media posts to learn more about them – I’m planning to adopt one soon! I also started going back to the gym after the COVID restrictions were lifted. Meditation and yoga classes make up my favourite times of the day when I can solely focus on myself.
What do you think the future of fintech looks like?
The future shape of global business is normally driven by the demand of consumers and industrial regulations. The fintech industry has a positive future in this regard. For example, the COVID-19 pandemic boosted digital businesses, allowing financial services and private equity markets to thrive and increasing investment in the fintech industry. This inevitably requires innovation from financial technologies and analysis of consumer behaviours, where companies like mmob will play an important role.
What is the best piece of advice you have received?
The best piece of advice I’ve received so far in my career is “Always have a vision”. Every job, role or task I do I have a clear plan ranging from the near future to long-term that improves my performance. I try to make notes about any future ideas or feedback from my colleagues whenever possible, either in my diary or laptop. This enables me to be more organised and resilient.
